S2000 headers

Hey guys, I'm thinking of purchasing headers for my 02 spa s2k. I already have a AEM v2 on it, and was wondering if headers would increase performance and noise. Also, whats the difference between 70 dollar headers on ebay and 300 dollar DC or name brand headers, thanks guys - Mike

Stay away from a DC header on an S2000. They have been shown to reduce performance.

Quality is the way to go. Look into Rick's header:

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

I am currently only running an Injen CAI and DO NOT plan on getting exhaust. The CAI is loud enough. I did plan on buying a set of headers (buddy club or rick's) but will it even make a difference if I don't complete it with an exhaust? I also heard that the stock s2000 headers are actually very good to begin with so some say it's pretty much a cosmetic upgrade more than performance. I have only tuned civics back in the day, s2000 is a new beast to me so any advice would be appreciated. I wouldn't mind spending a G on a nice set of headers to gain a few ponies and dress up the engine a little, without the loud ass sound

The dyno sheet I have seen from Rick's shows an increase of about 6WHP through the mid range, but a slight loss at the top of the HP reading. It is very similiar to Mugen's header.

It is and that is why you will see only a slight increase and why many headers show decreases over OEM.

I'm not recommending that you get a header, but if you do, go the "full Monte" and get a Mugen.
