How is the S2000 in winter???

Hey ,

First post, seriously looking into purchasing an s2000. I was just wondering if anyone drives it in the winter?? i live in toronto canada , it will be my only vehicle so i will ned to drive it in the winter. I know i will probobly have to buy a good set of winter tires. if anyone has experienced winter driving with the s2000 please let me know how the ride is.

Hi, i drive my s2k in the winter... nothing special , all you need is a good snow tire ... but place like toronto... i just dun think this car will make a good daily drive during witnter ... because their is ice and other stuff... besides the car is low too .... i dun recommend

Hey, I drive mine in the winter (I live in Iowa). I put Blizzak tires and they seemed to work alright. It was not as bad as I thought it would be, although going around corners when there is snow on the roads can be a little adventerous. I just drove a bit slower than usual, and ran into no problems.

I'm in Edmonton.
You will need to spend money to drive this car in the winter.

Rims and Tires.
The Salt that TO puts on the roads will destroy your rims.
You will need 4 good tires. I personally do not drive the S2000 in the winter. But I have talked to a rep at Kal Tire. They strongly recommend Blizak or Nokian winter tires. Because of the rear wheel drive, do not try all season. I have driven in TO during a snow storm. Basically the people there have no idea how to drive snow. Also your winter snow is full of moisture. Bad combination of poor drivers and bad snow conditions.
Don't bother. park it and buy a really cheap beater for Nov - Apr.

warshan's tellin' it like it is. There are better vehicles than the S2000 to deal with snow. Almost all other vehicles.
Fat footprint+low ground clearance+high horsepower makes for some great drivin', just not in the snow.
