HELP: 04 and 05 fenders/bumpers interchangeable?

My friend who wrecked his S2000 is in the market for a bumper and fender. He has a 2004 and we found a bumper/fender on Ebay for a 2005. Are the 2005 bumper and front/drivers side fender identical from 2004 to 2005? If the 05 parts are the same, we could put them on his 04. They are even painted already with the same color (silver) that he has.

Thanks. I wanted to ask before we bid on these things.

Yes. The bumpers are the same from MY04 on (AP2 chassis)

The fenders haven't changed since the first year.

I think he'll need a new hood though. Those are aluminum and I don't know how well they can be banged out. I guess you could bondo and repaint it though.

The hood just has one small depression about the size of a baseball and it doesn't depress much at all (have to look at it from the side in a glare). It has some scrapes that I don't know will buff out or not so it may need to be painted, but the little dent looks like something that a "Dent Wizard" type outfit could massage out in 15 minutes. Am I being too optimistic?

I think he'd probably consider that a bit "riceboy" in nature. He's one who likes to keep his car stock... I think. I'll ask him.

The dent wizard stuff is designed for steel. THe hood is aluminum which isn't malleable like steel. Guess it's worth a shot, and if it doesn't work then you can always replace it. CF parts are personal taste I guess. Probably do save some weight though.
