Front License Plate

Just traded my 01 Silver S2000 for an 05 Yellow one. I have only been pulled over once (warning) for failure to display a front license plate (In Ohio). The yellow is much more of an attention getter for the police and am finally contemplating installing the front plate. Question: Rather than use the stock brackets is there anyway or kit to instal the front plate within the grill area? It would look much better and would probably save me from a ticket. OR would that reduct too much air flow to the engine?

Thanks for any ideas from you guys living is those states that unfortunately require two license plates.

you can install the plate in the grill but maybe it's better if you buy an air-intake.. but i don't know if that is legal in your state

good choice on trading your silver one... who buys silver cars... esp fast cars. Great choice on the yellow! Yellow and Red only way to go.

Front plate

Yeah, I gotta admit the current placement of the front plate on the S2000 is kinda hideous, and I've been meanin' to come up with an less offensive place to stash it, but when you're dealin' with somethin' as efficient as the S2 there's not a whole helluva lotta room to play with.
The front corners (my first choice) are too curved to place a hanger there and the plate already intrudes on the air flow to the radiator. I don't think I'd wanna place the whole thing in the grille cavity.
The one thing that you have goin' for you is that the front plate currently doesn't require lighting makin' it relatively easy to relocate.
Personally, I don't think that the current spot was Honda's first choice either. I just think it's that they were bumpin' into the same walls that we are.
As for yellow n' red as bein' better colors than silver for a sportscar . . when you've been pulled over a few times because you're easily identifiable maybe your tune will change. I'm prone to camoflage n' if the "plain ol' " silver, gray r' black make me blend in with the crowd more n', in turn make it harder for the nice policeman to give me a ticket, I'll opt for the boring colors.
Keep us posted. I'm sure I'm not the only one not thrilled with the front plate.
Be well.
