what is the velcro for?
i got my "S" used about a year ago and have always wondered what those velcro tabs around my rear window are for. was there a window blind or something? just curious.

I've never heard a convincing answer for this. One theory was that they are used during the installation.
Anyway... if you make up some elastic straps with the other side of the velcro on each end you can connect up up these tabs to help the plastic window fold correctly. Somebody has already experimented with the best materials and sells them on ebay. Search for "s2000 window wrinkle". |

thanks for the insight. while we're on the subject of the rear window. can it be unzipped? I've never really just sat down and tried it, but was wondering if anyone has. and if so, can it be replaced with something a little more unique? like a small oval tinted one or no window at all (as if the blind spot is not enough), but anywho just curiious.
