Howz Stewie Make'yuh Warm'n Fuzzy?
JD'z thread on Stewie'z love'a tryin'a have the rear race the front ta the outside'a serious cornerz gott me'da thinkin'. (Nodd'a word!)
Some'uv us use Stewie'da gedd'er daily fixx'a cornerin' G'z. Some're more inclined'da enjoy straight-line acceleration. Some like'da spend their time polishin'itt'n'en jus' sittin' in'a lawn chair suckin' down suddz while they admire their work. Some (who shall remain nameless) seem'da like jus' goin' out'n blowin'itt up every now'n ag'in so they can pudd'itt back tagether. Me, I got Stewie fer church. Pre-dawn excursionz inta the twistiest roadz I could find with the bike on Sunday mornin'z wuzz my therapy fer many moonz. 'Gedd'out there rippin' through the booniez with nobody aroun' 'ceptin'n occasional critter'r two, stop some spot where I could siddown on some deadfall, suckin' on'a thermos'a Joe, havin'a smoke'n watchin'a sun come up. My church, 'cause'att'z close'da God'z this ol' sinner'z ever gonna get. Now, with Stewie, I don't godda come home'n tell Mama Java about the view from the ol' minin' road lookin' inta PA'z open fieldz full'a colorful hot air balloonz gettin' ready'da launch. 'Don't godda tell'er about the 60 lb. alligader snapper whut wuzz layin' claim to'a corner that it'd taken'a strong likin' to. She jumpz in Stewie'z quick'z I do come Sunday mornin'z'n, to'er credit . . . she may be bitin'er lip'n goin' all white-knuckled on me't timez, but outside'a'n occasional "Oh $hit!", she don't much complain about the drivin'. N', I godda admit . . . top up'r down, Stewie'z the only way'da fly when the weather gettz nasty. So . . whutt'z yer favorite thingz'da'doo with Stewie?

Carving the canyons to the coast and heading up to a little beach. Then back down to Malibu Starbucks for a cuppa and a scone.

You know, I gotta get out and beat (in a good way) on the S a little more. I feel like I'm too wimpy, except for occasional passes and gettin' on the freeway in vtec. I gotta get out on the local twisties and enjoy the rush more often.
Thanks JJ

YOU made me go out to the garage at 5:15 and put a fresh coat of wax on her. The old coat was 2 weeks old! Then I ran my hands down her fine lines noticing the slippery slickness of a fresh coat of wax. She looks like she was dumped in a bath of red nail polish. Then coated with the finest french maid red lipstick. I know you guys laugh at this behavior but hell man if I tried to wake the bride at this hour on a saturday she's kick my @ss! What's left? Now I'm gonna move the herd of SUV's and pickup's outa the damn way and taker for a spin. I'm gonna smell the Mguires gold glass wax, feel every curve in the road, hold the shifter and enjoy every click through the gears. There aint nothing LIKE this car. Unless of course you got a sweet willing bride! And at the moment, I don't! |

You got that right! Thanks for the inspiration.
I wend down the coast a while smelling the wax mixed with the salt air. Then turned inland and damn near smacked into my buddy with the new 135i!. We went through the twisties with him trying to lose me. Happy to report he couldnt! Then off to work for him. Me on the parkway for some high speed fun. Then through the 100MPH connecter..very nice! Then home.. Nice start to the day JJ..Thanks man! |

Stewie is my preferred form of transport at all times as long as there's no snow.
It's my commuter car. Good on gas and reliable. 99% of all my driving is on the twisties, so a car like Stewie is kind of a necessity.....(that's my story 'n I'm stickin' to it) Over the years, I've learned that around Yonderland, a car that handles beats nearly everything else. I ain't much for washing and waxing, and I'm not looking to rebuild my car over and over again. Stewie's rode pretty hard with great regularity and coming up on two years of ownership has proved to be a very easy car to live with. If it can last for 5 years under me, and still perform the way it's supposed to, while still looking mostly good, I'll entertain keeping it looooong term, but retire it as my dd. Yonderland will beat a car to death, given enough time. jagg |

I wish we had canyons here, but the best we have is River Rd, which follows the Mississippi River. Still a kick in the arse in the Stewie.

To me there is nothing better than getting up early on the weekend and hitting the curves with fellow S2000 owners before all the soccer Mommy's in their over blinged "pimpscalades" and minivans start to take to the roads. Missed this mornings run though do to being up till 4:00 am doing music but will make up for it soon.

My morning:
85 degrees with the top down, Sue (the wife of 17 years) is in a skirt, the speed limit is 75, Sammy Hagar is on the radio followed by our song: 'Love of a Lifetime'..... Does it get any better than that? I don't think so.

critters 'n Stewie

Nice , Java, I agree with the whole thing,.. but gotta say I dunno what kinda critters ya'll have there while puttin' the Stew thru 'er paces, but hereabouts we have some critters like to make my Stew a few feet shorter if one of 'em might just happen to jump out in front o' me around one of them twisties... 'specially in the wee hrs. that's when they like to roam about and cross the paved parts of the area. So as they say(when you take your next early AM ride) .....ya'll take care now... y' heah ?? I don't care if I'm close to 50 and own a red sports car. I don't care what people think or say, I try to make time to drive it but sometimes I'm not so successful. Yes I admit it that the car is a garage queen, but for me there is no other way. I'm just glad I got one cause its a blast for me to drive, like to use all the gears up and down the best way to get the best feeling of what the cars gotta offer.

i know raleigh, dunno no louisburg.
did not never move to south cackalack. has not resided in that state. i am currently in a state of bliss. i was naturally borne, by my mother, in another state, which was not NC. i would say it was a yankee state during the late misunderstanding. i was bred in NC, for the most part, GA too some. daddy was transferred to atlanta (federal pen) from leavenworth in '62, so we moved to be near him.
