My S2000 is sluggish, HELP!!

Hey guys, I have a 2003 with about 14k miles. This past week it has been driving sluggish, in that it has not been revving as high as usual. This is most apparrent when driving around town, when the car is revving between 3-5k rpms. 2nd and 4th gears are especially non-responsive. I took it to Honda who tested the VTEC, and said it was fine. I know that there is something wrong, but I don't have any idea what it could be. If anyone has any idea could they please let me know. Thanks

clean the throttle valve? chk the intake filter, unplug the battery and plug it back to reset... maybe chk the throttle linkage ?

After that... compression test, clutch slipping?

Thanks guys, I will check into all of your suggestions, and see if I can't resolve this, because it sure ain't getting better.
