Good deal on an s2000?

so i've been posting this on a few forums to ensure i'm getting a good price on this s2000 i'm looking at.

I've been looking at some s2000's and i was given what i think is a pretty good deal on one. Someone i've known for a few years has one they are looking to sell. It's an 02 with 107k miles on it. ( all highwayish miles from being driven to his job down where i live ) It's berlina black with the full red interior. Car seems to be running fine, no mechanical problems. The outside needs a few things repaired. The bumper looks like it needs to be repainted because there's a big like, paint crack on it or something. The drivers door has a dent that can be undented out pretty easily, but it also has a tiny dent where the paint was chipped off due to the car apparently being shot by a bb by some kids. Other than that it had some normal scratches here and there, but nothing big. The interior was pretty good overall except for the seats were pretty worn in and had little cracks in them. He's looking at $8,000 for it. I'd like to try and go a little lower to help me pay for the body work. Maybe tell him i'd do $8,000 w/ bodywork and paint? Thanks!

High milage is high milage. It doesn't matter if it's highway or city milage. It makes no difference. You should try to find a lower milage one. You probaly have around 15,000-30,000 miles before the car is going to be required major fixes.

That baby is a used car!
There are a lot of better ones around. You are going to spend a lot to get it looking good, then as J's said, you are going to start to pour money under the hood.
