buying used and reliability?
I guess the best way i could phrase this would be what is it that commonly goes wrong the higher mileage S2000s?
These cars moved up on my list when i found that i could not fit in a C3 vette and i wanna get a perspective on how reliable these cars after the 100k mark. |

Have you tried to fit yourself into an S2000? Maybe that ought to be your first concern since it's my view that the S2000 is tighter than the C3.

I didnt ask about it because after a quick google search i saw that some large people were driving these cars too. I fit into the C3 once i'm in it, but at 6'4 265-270 its a pain getting in and out. |

Afraid the seat isn't going to go back far enough for you to avoid hitting either the steering wheel or the dash...

well by chance i had a bit of dead time between work and went to go look at the used one at the local dealer...yeah its out. The fitment has an opposite feeling from the C3.
In the vette i would get in uncomfortably and have room after i'm in. The S2k was easy to sit in, but my right knee rubs on the steering wheel. So i'd be all good if i drove at full throttle everywhere, but that won't work. lol |

I've got to ask. I'm in my mid-60s and I've been driving cars on the track from the late 60's until last year. If you are going to buy a car from that era, why a C3? It doesn't accelerate, turn or even come close to braking. In other words, it does not possess quality ratings in any of the three things that a car should do well.
I don't know how the prices compare but a mid-70s BMW Bavaria 3.0 will give you plenty of comfort and knock the socks off of a C3.

Sorry to hear that an S won't work for you. Good luck with your search.
