2003 Or 2004 DECISION TO MAKE "ITS A KILLER" READ

I been thinking till it hurst for a couple weeks now!!

SHOULD I GET 2003 OR 2004 HONDA S2000

2003: PRO: The car is just all out racie, the engine was built for one purpose only and the interior is really something to cherish about considering it a Honda and of course 9,000 rpm.
CON: Front and rear bumper is getting old and boring front headlight is just ungly, tailight is nice, but can't compare to LED, the rims are just plain old.

2004: PRO: Front and rear bumper really stand out, more aerodynamic and curvy , the new triple beam headlight is just gorgeous, LED tailight is nice to have, its a first for honda next to ACURA TL and the rims is a lot nicer, with wider stance.
CON: the interior is ungly compare to 2003 and the car suspension is detuned to be more civilize, but that the whole point of the s2000, to be agressive, and we lost the 9,000 RPM wich defy the Honda s2000.

I know I can get the 2003 and than buy all the exterior parts and convert it, but if anyone know anything about this, the parts for 2004 and 2005 are very expensive, the rims with tires alone is 1,500 USD and headlight is 800 USD, tailight and bumpers are not included and not to mention labor and time consuming, might as well get 2004 to begin with.

I guess it would be unique to do this, but there a different between unique and didn't think it through. I'm now leaning toward the 2004 because it'll have better value in the long run and the interior is something I can upgrade and play with untill I get what I want. And the engine, well... I'll get over it. I've been waiting for 3 years to get the s2000 and I think it's best to get the newer toy then the old one. I'll post picture when I purchuse one.

I wouldn't bother with swapping bumpers and lights. Though it can be done, it does require some mods to the chassis here and there. The turnsignals aren't LED, just the brakes. However, if it is a wider stance and bigger wheels you want, you can easily go to 17s or even 18s in an aftermarket wheel with more aggresive rubber than the AP2's have.

If you're cool with the slight changes in the feel of the AP2 over the AP1, what about just getting a brand new one (i.e. 05) so you don't have to worry about how it was treated? Just a thought.

Lucky;
Find the most reasonable deal on whatever's available, any year. Drive it as often as possible. When you're not drivin' it you can still dwell on this over that, apples n' oranges. But somethin' tells me that when you finally bolt any one of these li'l beauties to your butt, you're not gonna be spendin' alotta time on things other than drivin'.
Good luck n' like the old knight said . .
