Snowboarders...

Hey guys,

Ok, I'm an avid snowboarder and was wondering how all you owners with S2ks take your car to the slopes? Do you guys use snow tires or just chains? Also how do you carry your boards on the car?

My new s2k is coming on Wednesday! I am so excited!

Julian

PS. I could always take another car, but I'd rather take my s2k.

if is only snow then use snow tire, don't bother using chain. using chain u will be driving at turtle speeed. however i am wondering what u use to carry the boards, since the car has no space for the board

Julian;
Save yourself the unpleasantness of snow-induced surprises: take the other car to the slopes. Almost any other car.
Chains????

Here in Aus, it is a condition that all non-4wd cars have chains beyond a certain point.

EDIT
you may not want snow piling up on your soft-top while you ski.
I haven't experienced it, as snow is usually confined to a specific area here, but maybe somebody from colder climates can tell you if the roof can take the weight.

I can't even begin to imagine trying to drive the S in the snow, if you have another vehicle that could do it. I'm not saying you can't drive it in the snow, I just don't know why you would if you have access to a better snow- capable vehicle.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

but i have to say, a s2k with snow tire is better than a 4x4 with all season.
