Recomented oil for 2004 s2000.

hi to everyone.i am new in this forum and first i have to admire the work that people do here.
back in my topic i have a brand new s2000 2004 model and i want to know what type of oil and what brand do u recoment to me to use in my car.i have to say that i am from cyprus and in summer we have average temperature 38celcium.is it ok to use 10w 30 or is 10w40 is a better idea?thanks in advance

The manual calls for 10W30, but with the temperature problems you may face, I would check themanual for the recommendation for higher temps.

As for brand, after about 10,000 miles I would switch to Mobil1 synthetic, but that's just me.

no i don't think it will be better, unless you want to add oil more often, there is a reason why they ask you to stick with factory suggestion.

Oil for S2K

I use Mobil 1 Synthetic 10W30 in my 2003 S2000 - last of the 9K 2.0 liter engines!

Panteli I'm from greece and we also have 35-40 degrees during the summer.The local dealership suggests shell racing 10-60 motoroil which sounds a little bit too thin for me.I use it though.

Australian summers are always around that temperature range. 10W30 is fine.
