New member with a question

Yesterday, I test-drove a 2005 s2000. I really liked the car. However, I thought that the steering wheel sat a little too low in my lap. I could not find any adjustability in the steering wheel, but I forgot to check if the seat is height adjustable. Can any of you answer this? Your help is appreciated.

No. Sorry. (Actually, just thought. I'm not 100% about the 05, but none of the others are)

I know of a few people who have adusted the hight of the seat, but it's a case of taking the seats out and rebuilding the base, as far as I can remember.

OK, thanks.

Will I get used to it? (It's less space even compared to my Lotus Elise).

You're intrested in an s2000 while having a lotus elise?

So, does that mean you want a car that's sporty but not as hardcore as an elise?

Myself i'm thinking about having an exige or something like that in a few years.

It's a little complicated, but the short version is that I owned an Elise in the Netherlands that someone else totalled. I bought a new Elise 111R in the US to export to the Netherlands (40% cheaper in the US than in the Netherlands). While waiting for the title I kept the Elise at our weekend cabin upstate in the Catskills.

The roads in the mountains out there are so suited for the Elise (even better than for the Ferrari), that even my wife agreed that I should get another car to export to the Netherlands.

As some of you know, after that is is best to stop aguing your case.

no you don't rebuild the bottom of the chair, you just buy a pair of new rails, those rails make ur car seat lower !

Just notice the quote "Brackets sold with seats ONLY!"
I'm sure you can find these somewhere.

Corbeau mounts only lower by an inch as far as I can figure.

Taitec also worth a look.

Fletch,

Thank you, that was very helpful. I think I'm going with the Corbeau.

Just make sure it's compatible with the stock seats.
