Radio Code

Just put a new battery in and I need the code for the radio. I know you need the serial # for the radio but I am trying to avoid pulling the radio out. I know sometimes they will hide a sticker somewhere. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

Mine was on the inside of the center console box. I think this is a dealer prep thing because I've heard others have found it in their spare tire area or even on the door jamb.

that happend to me last week, and man, I can't live w/o my music... Called honda they said that since its an "ANIT-THEIFT" feature that you have to prove ownership meaning go there with the car/id/registration...... YOu can't just call them up... Or maybe you might get lucky...? And you have to have the serial number behind the radio, if its written someplace else, great... but I dont think the VIN is enough...

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Turn off unit press and hold #1 & #6 presets while turning the radio on. the display toggles between 2 screens the first displays a U and the second screen an L. Ignore the letters that's your units serial # Ex. U1234 L4321 your serial # is 12344321. Honda just enters that on their puter and you have the antitheft code put in by honda. Beats tearing out the radio.

I tell ya, having a salvage and going through all that I did, you learn alot and you come out of it having alot of stories. But I also needed the radio code when I got my car. As a matter of fact, it took me so long to find out how to get it, that I was driving around for about a year or so with no radio, just listening to the engine and my gear changes..and you know what, that was OK with me. I took a 2 hour ride from NYC to upstate NY with no radio. My friend said I was crazy, but with the top down I didn't care. Anyways, I had looked on any and every panel of the car that would give me some clue to a serial or a code. I finally had my body shop guy hook me up with a radio install place he used and for a $10 tip, the guy took the radio out for me real quick enough to get the serial. Then I was told that you have to go to the dealership you bought the car from (this was bogus) and they will give you the code. I went to a local dealership and, as if I were getting the code for Fort Knox, one of the guys at a desk went on the computer and printed out the code for me. He said this is usually $80-100, but don't worry about it. I feel like he even thought that was ridiculous. I wish I had known about the "1" and "6" buttons and all that. Geez! Oh well, I learned to join forums and learn all I can before I go out into the real world.
