Man that blows. I wonder what would have been worse, having your car on those rocks or on the floor.

Here's some tips.
1. File a police report.
2. DON"T TOUCH THE CAR. Maybe the police can fingerprint your car. (They do this alot in that one tv show CSI) Maybe those guys left a couple of fingerprints on your car.
3. Lojack that baby.

turbosix. Buying tires from Ebay now would not be a good idea. Most likely he needs tires ASAP. So finding a set of four tires on Ebay for $300 might sound like a good deal, he'd have to UPS red (Next Day Air)it. And thats gonna cost him his left kidney!

You know I went out shooting yesterday. At 100 yards with my 308 5 of my last 6 shots were touching and about an inch high of where I was aiming. At about 200 yards theyd be an easy shot and would have no idea its coming.

SPTs are cheap, but I don't believe he can get them for AP2 wheels (at least not from the Rack). Plus, the Dunlops have rebate & money card offers. I think Bridgestone might have rebates coming out soon too, so keep an eye out all you tire buyers.

Hey if you're really in a pinch, you could probably go to a junkyard and buy 3 Honda 5-lug spare tires for less than $20. I wouldn't want to be seen in public like that, but at least you'd have mobility.

Ya know what...I'm sorry for even suggesting that. Who would do such a horrible thing to their Stewie

he can, for some reason their site wont show them if you go "show matched pairs" but if you just pick SPT and look at the sizes they are there.

So sorry, dingle, that just sucks (the theft + the aggravation). Hope you get everything squared away soon, and then consider moving to TX.

NICE! Congrats buddy, sorry you had to go through all that. Those AP2 V1s are probably my favorite S2000 wheel. How'd the rocker panels handle the rocks??? What tires did you end up with?

Got to love the common sense approach to the laws in Texas.

Sorry to hear of your loss

Dingleberries -

Man, I'm really bummed to hear that you got ripped off. Just to let you know, it's not just big towns or bad neighborhoods that have this problem. I live in Santa Barbara, a sleepy little upscale town in CA and I've had my Stewie for less than three months. It's not my daily driver, so it doesn't see much parking lot time. I went into the store the other day for 5 minutes (maybe less) and left the top down. When I came out I noticed a rough spot above my glove box lock. Sure enough, someone tried to pry open my glove box! It looks like they took a small screw driver and chunked up the inner lip of the glove box cover. This all happened in a crowded parking lot next to a main street in broad daylight! I was so pissed! Luckily, they weren't able to get into the glove box (good design by Honda!) and the damage isn't visible from the outside.
As much as I hate to, I'm going to get an alarm system installed. So can anybody on this site recommend a good alarm system?

Check out the Sumitomo HTRZ IIIs. I put a set of these on each of my S2ks and the out the door cost was $515.00 for each car. The only gripe Tire Rack had with them was that they would have liked a little better grip in the wet. Truly an outstanding tire across the board for about a grand less than the OEM Bridgestones and, they have a 300 tread wear rating as opposed to the 180 of the OEM tires.

Man sorry to see this. When I was in Texas a few years back a next door neighbor had his older Vett's wheels jacked. At least they left his on cinder blocks. Seeing my S on rocks would set me off. I know others have mentioned the law in TX (god i love my home state) and I don't know about the laws were you are but heres another item for around $150 that could be used in conjunction with that silent alarm...

Doesn't look pretty but it gets the job done. Cheapest new pistol I've ever seen and not a bad shot. A friends got one and you can get it in .45, 40 S&W, or 9mm. His is a 40 S&W and its a good reliable home defense gun for him, even though the most he needs home defense from here in the middle of the corn rows is coyotes. Good luck with the car man, sorry again to see what happened.

I take it that you didn't run the 1/8th mile or get dyno'd for that "100 shot?"
