I had my hard top on and windows up. 140 fifth gear redline then into sixth up to 160 and I ran out of road. It was decent man took a few corners was nuts very wide corners passed a few cars looked as though they were standing still was sick. I will be moding it next summer. My regular car is a Accord 95 H22. Turbo got that to 150 it was not nearly as fun as the S I raced the accord with the S I was driving the S my buddy was in the Accord The accord beat me off the line and It was damn close from there. Never raced times yet.

How fast is fast?
Mmm? I never break the speed limit. Just kidding. The fastest I have ever driven my 2003 S2K is 130 miles per hour in 5th gear. I have read on a ton of websites that 154 is about the brick wall that the stock S2K hits. 130 was plenty fast for me.

Okay. Personal opinion (blah-blah-blah). I've found that given the opportunity to get a vehicle to top end n' hold it there, it becomes a case of "Now what?". Maybe it's jus' me, but straight line flat-out gets borin' in real short order. Without some turns to keep my interest n' my involvement (n' my eyes totally engaged in the road ahead n' not even considerin' the speedo) other than to jus' floor the go pedal . . what's the point? To throw numbers at other bench-racers?' Ya gotta satisfy yourself. Tryin' to impress somebody else'll get you in over your head in a heart-beat. Everybody's got their own sphincter-pucker point, where your brain calls down to Scotty:"Mr. Scott: set sphincter to maximum pucker, we're goin' where this man has never been before".
Lettin' peer pressure dictate where you're gonna place your up-close-n'-personals is, sooner r' later', bad juju. You know when you're at the edge of your own personal envelope. "No fear" my ass. Fear serves a definite purpose. Talk is cheap, n' on websites easily accomplished. The real thing don't need to be thrown down in front of others for adulation. When you really do it, you do it to satisfy yourself. In the end, there ain't nobody to answer to but yourself, n' there ain't nobody else that's gonna pay the price for your @*#&in' up. Be well, be wise, be intact. |

It depends of coursse where you driving it and when.
If you see a bend coming that's wide enough and you see no car coming in the opposite direction and no house where someone suddenly can cross the street, then it's just you and the car. Sometimes i wonder where i can have that. I used to take risks in the past and some of my friends do still think that i'm crazy. Oh man, they surely would shit in their pants when i was on a track. Of coursse my mate isn't used what the s2000 is capable of while he's driving a VW polo. |

How fast? Well, I'm sure I've had it over a hundred, but the speedo is as useless to me as all those tachs that they put in automatics. With one exception: when I'm tryin' to impress upon the nice officer in his cruiser (who I'm pretendin' not to notice) about 5 cars back that I am, in fact, not the speeder that I appeared to be when I first drew his attention. Other than that it's jus' so much useless, added weight.
Besides, I've been usin' my built in Nadometer for years. A good indication of how much of a rush I've gotten is clearly indicated by how far my 'nads have tried to hide up inside my groin. Though, I'm not at all certain about the equation that's used to translate that into miles-per-hour. I've never thought it wise to change a CD or anything else that'd take my eyes off the landscape that I'm rapidly approachin' when I'm kickin' in the afterburners. Is it fear? @*#&in' A it's fear. If not for the fear, the end result would be similar to the feelin' of successfully replacin' a roll of toilet paper. |
