New S2K owner.

My parents recently bought me an "00 S2K for my graduation and i have a problem while driving. With the convertable top i have a major blind spot to my left is there any way around that besides driving with the top down which isn't such a bad thing since i live in So. Cal. I would really like some suggestions.

One option some have tried is to use a convex mirror on the left side too. You know "objects in mirror are farther than they appear" mirror.

Muz accesories sells the convex mirror for the left side (Australian S2000s are RHD so their left mirror is convex stock).

I either swing my body to the right and look at the side view mirror, or lean forward and look over my left shoulder whenever I want to merge left.

There is no reason why you should be able to see the side of your own car in your side mirrors. Angle them out more so that you can see more of what is behind you, this may help get rid of that blind spot.

I gotta go with Matt. I jus' don't think you've spent enough time fine tunin' the mirrors to your seating position. I seem to remember that So. Cal has the driver on the left. If anything, that should make for the least amount of possible blind spot on your left. Spend some time settin' up your mirrors n' I think you'll be surprised with the difference.
Good luck n' may you have less reason to ride with the top in the up position.
