Strange whine coming from rear end????

I have a 2002 S2K with 22k miles. I have H&R coilovers on the car, camber kits and factory wheels. The noise I am hearing is a high pitched whine from the rear end somewhere. The noise is most noticable between 44 miles per hour and up, when I am on the interstate and feather the gas on and off the whine goes on and off. The whine is when I press the gas or speeding up on the interstate when I release the gas the whine stops. It almost sounds like a ground loop noise but only when I press the gas. I have not experienced any stalling or hesitation on start up. The car runs great except fotr the noise. I hate going to the dealership because they try to talk me out of what is wrong. The dealership I talked to said my diff fluid may be low and he would start there. Has anyone had this problem? It's driving me f-ing crazy!! I am going to change my diff fluid and see what that does.

Thanks for any advice

From what you describe, it sure seems to sound power-on related. Bearings, universals n' the like'd be my first inspection. N' was there any recent work done?
Good luck.

The only 3 things recently that I had done is 1st an oil change, 2nd installed H&R coilovers, 3rd got a 4 wheel alignment. All within about 2 weeks. Then that whine started about a week after the 3 things I had done.

Thank you for your reply

I don't know how likely it is, but the only thing that sifts through those 3 changes (to me, anyway) would be the alignment. I hesitate on this because of the unlikelyhood of screwin' up an alignment, but, messin' that up could really present some interestin' abuse n' sounds to go with it.
I expect you'll be hearin' from our "technical department" in short order. I'm sure they'll have some other suggestions to check for the info you've given. Some of them know the car alot (as in ALOT) better than I so, it'll be worth the wait.
Again, good luck jp

Diff problem

Well I finally found out what the problem was, Honda said the pilot bearings in the diff failed. They are replacing the whole diff on them, good thing I bought the extended warranty. It's costing Honda $5100.00 dollars to replace. That's the best $1500.00 dollars I ever spent for an extended warranty

They covered it with the H&Rs? What's the name of the dealer, they should get props for doing that.

What are you all talking about? Does it really matter that much to you how someone terms something. "Angry propellers? Crazy make-believe stuff for the stage? Or some little-known, speed enhancin' add-on for the S2?" What are you getting at?? I was just asking a question about my diff if anyone has or had the same problem, thanks for the critiquing.
