glut of 2006

Hi,

I'm searching for a low mileage s2000 and I notice that in the sf bay area there is a glut of 2006 cars available (not many red or yellow though!). Is this just chance or is there something I should know about 2006s?

Lease returns. Honda had a very attractive 3 yr lease and cars are just coming off that lease.

^Good call. I wouldn't have thought of that reason.

2006 was as good of a car as any other year.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

I personally have a lease return 06, it had around 4500 miles on it. Never been happier with a purchase

It's not just the Bay area. There seems to be a lot of MY06 all over the country. The lease explanation makes sense.

That might explain the 2 or 3 06's in the paper recently. Asking around $24K at dealers.
