Hiding in Alaska
Are you torn between your love for Alaska and your love for your S2000? I miss driving my S, but she's safe in the garage till spring. I have no idea how many of us there are up here, I've only seen a handful. Just doing a role call...

Why are you there? I thought Alaska was closed for the winter.

This is the first Winter out in 18 years for me. One of the reasons is my 04 is in the garage with the top down and ready to roll. I live iin Haines, now in Arizona for Winter. Miss my friends, not the weather. Back in April.

Hey Don, If you could only get your emu to raise his eyebrows while he quotes your bio. I love that quote!!! And yes, AK kinda is closed, but I love it. It kinda thins out the the weak ones.
Hi Windypt I'm planning on going through that area in june, not with my baby though, but with the CRV and family. Are you going to be the only S in Haines? |

Hey Hey!!
I get up that way every now and then... Have you ever been out to Tanacross? I'm thinking about checking it out this summer. I did a drive by about a month ago, too much snow at the time. Hey Java, Been out since mid March, even had the top down! I have to be careful about the snow... got caught in a couple of snow storms one about a week ago dropped two feet and I was in a mad dash home after only about 8" fell. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it off the side street to get my baby home. Two things; One, she makes a fine plow. Two, she can make a fine sled if you shift down (not recommended). Thank god for global warming... Mike in Anchor town |

I wanted to go to Tanacross, however my wife and I just moved here in October and have yet to go to Anchorage. We had planned a trip to Anchorage for the same weekend.
I do plan on going to some of the SCCA auto X's or the Porshe Club of Alaska auto X's
