I am not sure of the diameter, but I do know the catback part of the exhaust weighs 80 lbs. When I took mine off, I wasn't ready for that much weight. MAN was it heavy!!!!

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Ya ive heard a few people say that its crazy how heavy it is. The reason I ask is my buddy was arguing saying he thought a exhaust would make a difference and I said only in weight really and he brought up that he thought it should be atleast 2.5" if the exhaust flows that well stock and it made me realize I dont know what diameter it is. I wish they made a super light weigh exhaust that sounded stock. Im not a fan of na 4cyl's sound

I have had three different exhaust, OEM, RM Racing, and Comptech. The RM system had a deep sound. I still have it, but it is just sitting in my shed collecting dust. The CT system I have now is a very free flowing system and has a GREAT sound. Very Indy-car-ish-- if that is a word. Heck, it is now I guess.

PS I have PMed someone that I think will have your answer. If he gets back to me, I will forward on the info.

Ya I prolly will get a exhaust down the road just to make mine a lil different then the other ones in the area. When i get it im def shooting for a deeper sounding exhaust as far away from a civic as I can dont need to listen to all my big v8 friends making fun of me haha

Hi guys. I godda admit that about the only part of the car that I'd consider replacin' would be the exhaust.
"Indy-car-ish"??? I wouldn't wanna play Scrabble against you Go.
It's pretty obvious that considerable weight loss can be accomplished with the replacement with a single, weight-conscious exhaust, but how high a price would have to be paid in constant bombardment of noise?
When you're gettin' into it you expect (okay, I guess I really wanna) it to get louder, but when the louder is constant it gets old real quick in a daily driver.
Jus' how loud do you find your current CT n' how loud was your RM system before it got sent out to the shed?
As I remember, Indy-car-ish is an exhilerating sound . . right up until the point where it starts to rip your mind apart n' you start tightenin' your neck muscles, bracin' yourself for the next dose of it.
So what I'm askin' Go, is if you think that an older fella could live with the normal tone of the RM or the CT?
(Your response will be kept in the strictest confidence n' will not be shared on any mailin' lists)
Thanks.

The RM sound was deep and not too loud. I actually liked it, but the tips were very large:

I like the CT better due to the fact that I like the higher level of sound. Not louder, just a higher pitch I guess. Plus I am kind of a CT fan. The tips are also smaller:

Might as well. I had a plate welded to both pipes at the split to keep them from moving since the tips were so big. I didn't want them to touch the rear bumper cover and melt it. Let me take some pics and send them to you this weekend. $300 plus shipping sound fair?
