fuel rail tap for sender?

Has anyone installed a fuel pressure sending unit into their fuel rail? I have an electric sending unit to install and I have seen one application where it was tapped into the end of the fuel rail where the "plug" is at the end. Actually there is a plug at both ends. The unit I saw was already in the car when the new owner purchased it so he had no idea how it was done. The plug seems to be "staked" at two points so I'm hoping that means it is threaded in and will remove.
Anybody have any previous experience with this? Thanks in advance.

Jim, I have seen that set up and would like to know as well. There are a few guys on this forum who are boosted and probably know... we will wait for the knowledge.
