Whistling From Inside ?

I have an 01 s2k,installed a comptech air filter with the whole set up for the intake. I think thats where the whistling is coming from. It almost sounds like a turbo spooling up when you gas it. Anyone know what it might be and if its bad or good for the motor ?

I'm almost certain it's just the sound of the intake. It's not really good or bad for anything. Just dependent on if you like the sound or not.

Well Estu . . depends on whut it's whistlin'.
I'm with Scott, provided no parts in the air flow that r' the cause of the whistlin' loosen up n' turn your engine into a paperweight I don't see any reason for concern.

alright thanks guys. Makes me feel a lot better. I didn't want it to be like a open spot somewhere from the head or headers.

Es, you didn't mention the headers. But when headers leak you won't be mistakin' it for any kind'a "whistlin'", so I think the original diagnosis stands.
