I just wanted to ask...how can you boost the redline of an engine(especifically AP2 engine) by just using Perfomance ECU? and how can really the ECU raise the redline if the nature of engine heats up at its redline?

Curious as to the purpose of boostin' the redline D. Just raisin' the redline doesn't necessarily increase power n' has you treadin' where the factory don't wanna know nothin' when @*#& happens, n' we all know that @*#& happens.
I'm assumin' that this is about more power? 'Cause higher redlines r' more about braggin' rights while sittin' 'roun' the campfire than they are about useable power. Be well. Java

Java is correct. Raising the red line will do nothing for power. I can't speak for the F22 but the F20's peak power is about 8600 RPM's. After that, you are on the down side of the power curve.

Bottom line no need to exceed the red line unless your motor is rebuilt for it.With out doing that theres going to be no power and you will just be tearing *&%$ up.

A performance ECU may boost the redline a few hundred RPM. I had a Hypertec in my old '95 Z28 that boosted redline from 5250 to 6000 RPM. There were small HP gains from it mainly because it changed the air-fuel mixture and (I think) the timing. I don't know what kind of changes one would do in an S2000, but the power curve begins begins to dip in the low 8's as GoMarlins3 said earlier.
A better buy (and cheaper) might be an intake, like K & N, where it will add about 9.5 HP between 6500-8500 RPM, but not the overall HP.
