can you put a F24 motor in F20 ???

Hello,
I'm new here but so far this site is great help!
I have a buddy that just blew his 01 f20 motor and we found an f24 motor but was not sure if will fit in 01 model and work.... any input would be great... I've been told the heads are different....

are you talking about a strocked F20c (2.0 - 2.4 liter) motor?

To my knowledge, there has never been an F24 motor.

my bad I thought the 04 model had the f24 and the 01 was 2.0l f20...
either way.... does anyone know if you can put 2.2L motor in 2.0l car ?

Yeap the motor will fit just fine but you need the ecu also.both are obd2, but different maps in the ecu.

It will fit...remember the RS R Honda s2000, in which it partisipated in D1GP and Formula D? its and AP1 model right? it originally has F20C (2.0L) in it, but later decided to swap in the F22C1 (2.2L) and it fits, and worked well and fine. Well there are other stories too that AP2 models swaps a F20c in it, just like the Memphis Audio sponsored widebody S2000 of Papadakis(or whoever he is).

Well, obviously it should fit fine. The engines are pretty much identical as far as exterior features goes. It just has a slightly lengthened stroke.
