Different Models?

I heard that the S2000's engine changed a little after the 2004 year. It gained a little more torque. Is it true that the car changed a little bit, if so which one is better?

the first year 2000 was a 2.0 240hp, updated in 02, tailights, rearglass, suspension, and other small additions, 04 added the 2.2 motor. same hp rating. also updated body, wheels, lights, exhaust, agin suspension, and interior. but it's all about personal prefrence, budget and what you plan for the car.

As for which is better, that is up to individual opinions.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

No offense meant DJ, but there's lots'a good info (okay, lots'a good info n' lots'a questionable info) stored for your enjoyment n' information in the threads n' posts already on the board.
If we've got 1 thread on this particular topic, we've probably got 20. Read the previous posts on the topic n' lay some groundwork for your S2000 knowledge.
N' then, when you've done that, the answer to your question is still not 'zackly answered, 'cause, as Go correctly points out:the answer to that particular question is up to each individual.
Be well.

Agreed Java. When you sign up the first time you log in it should take you to a page that discusses the ap1 and ap2. We get what 2-3 of these discussions a week for us regulars it gets a lil on the repetitive side. Especially since 90% of the time the question asker never comes back ha. The good news is so many people are interested in the car and it keeps the forum busy haha.

Sorry to clutter the forums. I usually do, do research first but I was feeling a little lazy for this one. Thanks for the input and I'll make usefull post from now on. One last thing, where are all the really really old post stored. It seems like the post pages end at a certain point.

Aaay Dj, all the way down the bottom of the Honda S2000 page, the one with the most current posts from all the forums, there's the numbers of the previous pages. Clickin' on any one of 'em will bring up the titles from that particular page.
Be well.
