Jackson Racing Supercharger comming

This just in from Jackson Racing,

The S2000 Rotrex supercharger kit is in its prototype stage, with a release set for early Quarter 3 2007. No other information is available at the current time.

So I have some more time to save my most favorite dollars.
I just hope the output numbers are as good as the comptech centrifugal SC's.

Well, being as good won't be as Comptech won't matter much anymore. It appears they are going out of business. Props to Jackson Racing for filling the gap, so to speak. The real comparison will be to see how it stacks up against the Vortech unit, which I've heard mixed reviews on. And if JR can sell it for less than what Comptech is/was charging, then they should have no problem fitting right in.

Between this, and the new Greddy turbo kit coming out this summer, it's a great thing for S owners looking for a little extra power.

Are any of them Roots type or are they all centrifugal?

I believe Jackson has been working on this for some time now.

I believe the S2000 is limited to the centrifugal type blower. the engine setup is the issue. I think there was some post awhile back addressing the problem. Things like having to cobble up a different intake manifold system and other high dollar items. A double screw type blower would be nice though but I think a pipe dream.

A roots style set-up like for the B16A Civic motors would have been nice (they make that style blower for the Miatas and BMWs I wonder what the problem is with doing it on the"S")
