Service time is coming
I will be doing my first service on our 04 s2k,I will be using mobil1 as so many on here has recomended,I will use wix filters, because I believe they are about the best after market, and with my jobber discount, there only about $2.50 each. Now how long between oil changes,I use rotellaT synthetic in two of my bikes, and service them every 5k,thinking about doing the same with the mobil1,also,valve lash, how often, and what type of adjustment do they have?

I change my oil every 3000 miles with Mobil 1. Reason being I only cover 3000 miles every 5 months or so. Cheap insurance. You shouldn't have to worry about valve adjustment for 100K (according to Honda), unless they are making accessive noise.
leo - I change my trans fluid about every 15K, along with the diff. As I said I don't drive very many miles + cheap insurance.

While I do not know, I would expect the engine to have hydraulic lifters, and as such adjusting valve lash should be unnecessary. As per oil I have no problems going 5k miles on Mobil-1 and I actually plan to let the built-in oil life monitor be my guide. (By the way, it told me to change my oil for the first time at 4,650 miles, which seems a bit early?).
