harder n harder to shift
My gears are getting harder and harder to shift. At first it was really only 2nd gear, now its 2nd, 3rd and 6th. You have to muscle the shift in for it to get in gear. What should i do? The honda over is wants to charge 90 dollars for a diagnostic, which i don't think i need, or for them to even look at it. Anybody got a clue?

Yea mine started the same thing i had to change my master clutch cyclinder and also my (slave cyclinder just for good policy along with the clutch master cycinder) Check under your dash, if theres a drip coming from the rod that goes from your clutch pedel through the fire wall thats the fix to your problem.

I would also agree with the clutch and tranny fluid change idea.

You don't want a charge for diagnosis? I understand no one wants to pay more then needed for car repairs but I'd much rather spend the money to find out what was wrong rather then agree to repairs which I might not need. Fact of the matter is you're going to pay for the shops time and experience and I'd like to think they have a darned good idea what and why they are doing to do what ever it is they are going to do before they start. I think you are assuming they can diagnose just by your description of the problems which I guess sometimes they could. I myself feel MORE comfortable in the approach of diagnosis first and repairs second. Lets face it if you don't go about it that way they are just throwing parts at the car. That is not going to save anyone money.
