Which Intake, Exhaust, and Headers are best

I am new to this site and I recently just bought a 2002 yellow s2k. I am looking for some input on a intake, header and exhaust set up. I keep hearing that you don't gain much and in some cases people are losing h.p. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Any header that is going to give you power is going to cost you at least $1000 by itself. As for exhaust, your best gain will come from a 63mm or 70mm titanium single-exit pipe. That way, you'll get the small handful of power, but more importantly, you'll drop some weight off the car.

A lot of the systems are built to work with each other; i.e. Comptech stuff works best when used together. That doesn't mean you can't mix and match. I have the Rick's header Rick's 6 Plus Stainless Steel Header ,
Invidia test pipe (saw one last night on eBay), and Comptech exhaust (out of business now, but some do come up for sale from time to time). As for an intake, I did have the AEM CAI and was happy withthat, but have since gone to another type of intake that cost's a little more.

As for what to avoid, I have not heard anything good about the DC header for our car. They make make stuff that works for other cars, but for ours, it seems to choke the engine some. The AEM CAI may not be for you if you drive in wet areas. There have been a few instances of hydro-lock (water in the engine) because fo people driving through puddles with this system. Like I said, I liked mine and never had a problem, but my ccar has only seen rain twice in 5+ years.

Single exhaust have been shown to show more power than doubles, but some people don't care for that look. It's up to you.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Remember, those (^) products are just suggestions that I have actual experience with. There are MANY different intakes, headers and exhaust systems out there that are quality pieces. If you have a specific item in mind, you might post it and see if anyone has some experience with it.

I think I am going to order the Fujita F5 CAI. With the CAI can you drive in the rain without the chance of hydrolock. From what I read it will be ok as long as you don't drive in puddles that would submerge it.
