Get the cat back, ignore the test pipe. The exhaust on the S2k is almost optimal from the factory so any increases are minimal but the cat back is the easiest way to get a bit of a power increase. Get a good CAI as well.

As said above, there isn't a lot of HP locked up in the stock intake or exhaust. You can find some to set free, but not much. If you were to get 10 WHP out of an intake and exhaust, you have hit the gold mine.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

With a CompTech Catback and CAI, I get 223 HP at the rear wheels (measured by Holey Roller Dyno). I've added a Mugen header and am waiting for the Gathering in the Garden State to be dyno'd again to see if I pick up any horsepower. It does feel a bit stronger in the mid-range (2500-3500 rpm) but that may be wishful.

What kind of exhaust did you get if it wasn't a cat-back? Just a new muffler?

25-30hp from just an intake and exhaust? Yikes. I'm surprised more people haven't used this setup.

Got a dyno sheet?

Got the dyno sheet posted on my wall and may be able to find it still posted on S2ki in the Nor'Easter meet from last Summer.

CompTech is still very much in business. They went through a reorg but never went out of business.

Don't mean to be rude here but i have a little question about mods!!! Well i have had my car for a little while know. I have done a few things to it but i don't know what to do next. I cant go S.C or T.C (really don't have the wallet for it, and i want to do it right if i ever do) well i have a cat back exhaust tanabe concept G , DC sport ceramic headers (wast of money found out a little to late that they lose HP on the AP1 but less wait) AEM fuel pressure regulator, V2, VFAC-2, and high flow cat!! what will be another mod for me to do and not lose HP like the headers!! oh and should i put my factory manifold back on???

Well, was it just a muffler (or mufflers)? Or was there piping attached? If there was piping, how far back did it go?

According to Greddy - Founded and Driven by Racers their TI-C is a cat-back.
