That's not suppose to happen. Take it to the dealer and have them check it.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

If it's doing it when you're decelerating, it's a known problem and the dealer will fix it under warranty.

possibly a shift gate problem. I had the same problem with mine. Be prepared, it can take some time to get the parts.

I got my 2007 a few days ago and have had about 5 or 6 instances of popping out of 4th as well. I called the dealer and was told that I probably wasn't use to the short throw. Uhhh...... I traded in my 2002 that I had for five uneventful years so I think I know how to shift. Anyway I'm hoping I just haven't firmly put it into 4th and will wait to see if it occurs once or twice more before I bring it in. At any rate4, I repeat I had my 2002 for 5 years and loved it, but this new one puts that to shame. Faster, quieter, much better audio, etc, etc etc.....I love it!!

Take it to the dealer and have them fix it. It's a problem with the transmission, it's not your shifting. If it does it when you're going down a hill and using the gears to slow down and it pops out, it's definitely a warranty fix.

Honda of America HQ. Number is in the back of the owners manual. Ask for the Regional Manager first. Be calm, state your case, tell them what you've done to get the problem fixed and keep a record every attempt and conversation you've had with the dealer.

was told to bring it in Monday and a mechanic will test ride and look for the incident. If in fact it pops while he's driving it, they will put in a new tranny. I'd lose the use of it for probably a week! My luck ....... watch...... it doesn't pop while he's testing it! I'll be pissed if that happens and they try to give me the car back sans repair.
