I am very new I just bought a 2001 s2k. I was just wondering what you guys are doin in a 1/4 mile stock or lightly modded?? Also do you launch while in vtec??

14.3 with a 2.2 60 foot ugh. It was in the 90's and humid when I raced. I have a intake and exhaust everything else is stock. If you launch 6 grand or above youre tires will never stop spinning.

This is my best time so far:
60'-2.473 330-6.710 1/8-10.057 @ 73.42 1000-12.917 1/4-15.327 @ 92.89 ----- the guys at the track told me that if you launch in VTEC you'll shatter the diff housing, so I was just feathering the clutch from 2-3k. |

Wow our trap speed was 6 miles per hour off thats a kinda hefty difference wonder why.

It's true about the Diff. The Diff is a spring type and not the best made. If your going to drag (which I don't Recommend in an S2K) switch to a viscous clutch or a full locked diff. The powerband of the engine isn't made to drag, but if you must, try adding torque to the engine. Long tube headers or cold air intake is a start. Do your homework though. Bigger isn't always better when it comes to horsepower.

hey guys, my best time with my 02 s2k with homeade intake and just duel tips for exuahst not even the full thing and i hit 13.7 at 99mph, its deff a high 13's car stock, also last time i was there i put 100 octane in her and she came ta life a lil more. remember in drag its all about the launch man, im going turbo with slicks soon and will post those times as soon as i get them in. until then.......pedal to the metal mutha truckas!!!!!!!!!! yeehhaawwww!

I always thought 13.9s and faster was an automatic 100mph+ trap....how did you trap so low with such a fast time? unless u had like a 2.0 or lower 60ft....just asking....I mean u may have had street drags on or something
My fastest was 14.13 at 98mph 87degrees low humidity bone stock set-up no tire warm-up at launchpit stock tire PSI w/spare and toolkit launch at 5k 2.2 60ft. I agree with you that it is a high 13sec car in stock form I think it was a little to hot that day...or very well can be my launch most def I do think ,however, 13s can only be achieved in stock form with the temperature at around 70-75 degrees with low humidity though Quote:
