Rev limiter didn't kick in
I was in some slow traffic today and when I got my chance, I got on it in 1st. I looked down and I was doing 42 miles per hour and I was in the red (over 9k). The rev limiter didn't kick in. It hasn't happened before and I don't plan on it happening again. Just wondering if everything will be ok with my Stewie. Doesn't run any different, just wondering if any damage may be done cuz of this one time f-up.

I believe the car can go to 10,500 safely without damage.
It's unusual the limiter didn't kick in. Maybe you just touched 9k on the tach? If you keep going, the tach lights will blink and then the limiter kicks in and pushes the pedal back. I've bounced the limiter several times in the first 4 gears plus badly missed a shift on the race track once and my engine is fine. You probably didn't push it hard enough. Correct. I have hit the limiter many times while autoXing and it starts to works AFTER you pass the red area on the tach. As stated above, the tach will actually flash a few times before the limiter kicks in.
