Another one for you.

Is the panel easy to take off?

r+r ecm

yes it's pretty easy.

remember , you never touch the ecm with power going to the system.
so, make sure you know your radio reset code (anti-theft deal).
then, disconnect the negative battery cable.

once that's done, you remove the panel that surrounds the hood latch release handle. i believe one plug holds it in. this will expose the module.
it's pretty tight in there, so be gentle. the module is bolted in place, and has a large wiring harness connected to it. remember BE GENTLE!!
if you're not sure about what you're doing, find someone who is !
a new ecm will cost you about $700 from honda, and nobody needs to be repairing a main wiring harness. kid gloves....saves trouble.

^There is a little more to it then stated above when it comes to removing the kick panel.

There is a very small plug in the door jam up high that is hidden behind the weather stripping. DO NOT LOSE THAT LITTLE PLUG!!! You also have to remove the door jam kick plate (it says Honda S2000 on it). This will come up if you pull on it.

As stated above, be sure the power is off on the car when you mess with the ECU.

If you don't have your OEM radio code, I can tell you where to find it, but you will need to PM me. I don't want to post it for the entire world (read as crooks) to see, not that it is some super secret thing or anything.

OK Thanks everyone!

I do have the code, the previous owner was kind enough to give it to me.
