Exhaust question

I went from a civic to an s2000 pretty much over night. I have been looking at s2000's for about a year now. Last week i blew my civic's engine, and i had already been eyeing a couple s2000's. So i got a good one, 21,000 miles. 2004, pretty sweet, any ways. When you buy exhaust from a site. like
http://www.modacar.com/products/Hond...ckexhaust.html
And those exhaust systems say they are made for the s2000. Do they come as a dual exhaust or what? I wanna keep the dualys. Any idea? Thanks for any help i can get
(plus i know there are some dual exhausts there. but some of them arent...)

If you don't see 2 exhaust cans or if it doesn't say "dual" then it is probably a single.

Singles are lighter and give power but can be a good bit louder (although the Invidia dual is louder than many singles). Can't think of any dual that gives much more than 3-5whp (don't trust manufacturer claims)...and some duals will cause hp losses.

Pretty much all of those exhaust systems have been used on the S with different levels of success. I haven't heard of any of those not working well. Pick the one you like and go with it.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Or you could save a whole bunch'a cash, leave the stock, never-give-ya-a-lick'a-trouble system in place n' make vrooom-vroom noises whenever you feel so inclined.
The vroom-vroom noises'll give you about'z much "performance increase" as the new exhaust system n' you won't godda eat pasta fazoola for 3 months to save up the money ta gedditt.
N' yes. That's a personal opinion.
Be well.

We need to remember that this car wasn't designed by a bunch of rhesus monkeys. I became a Hondafile back when I was fixing up motorcycles and saw the engineering and quality you got for the money. They have some of the best engineers in the biz. If you are going to tinker you better know what you're doing or you could even lose power.

The car, as it comes, is a balance of flat out race car and nice little luxery touches, like AC, radio power top etc. Since I don't race it, there is more go-go than I can find a place to use. But then, I live in the big city and a flashy yeller roadster draws gendarmes like flys to a honey wagon.

Course, when I was younger...

The main benefit of most after market exhaust is weight reduction. Amuse Ti dual 40 lbs., Mugen 24 lbs. reduction.

Just my opinion but the slight HP gain if any from an aftermarket exhaust just doesn't equal Hondas nice a quiet conversation having mufflers. Not to mention cops always lookin for u when they hear that ricey ass aftermarket crap (unless its Mugen or J's)

Just keep it stock and stop tryin to get 2 and 3 HP gains that dont exist. Matter of fact the more crap you put on these F20's and 22's the slower u get!
Unless u blow it
