oil/trans/fuel additives???

All,
Any additives that you swear by/at??

I'm running synthetics in engine/trans/rear/brakes, but I've wondered if any of the additives are useful or simply snake oil.

Lemme know what you think.
Thanks, Kevin

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

I think using anything but Honda's MTF in the transmission may cause more harm than good. I really like synthetics, but I've been reading and hearing a lot of negatives about putting it in the gearbox. From what I understand it can cause the shifting to feel more "notchy" because the synchronizers are spinning too fast. (that may be over simplifying it)

thanks for that input Don... I'll def. consider switching. I'm currently running Royal Purp 10w/30 in the trans (per their recommendation.) They claim that it matches the viscosity of the MTF pretty well. I may switch it out.. just to be safe.

I use Amsoil MTF which is synthetic and AFAIK the only Honda approved MTF other than OEM. The notchiness has almost disappeared from the gearbox completely.

I also use a fuel additive - Redline SI-2.
