Non-Carbon Fiber Air Duct
Where the hell can I find a non-carbon fiber snorkel for my intake box. I do not need to spend almost $500 on a piece of carbon fiber that will do the same thing and have the same weight/characteristics of something made from plastic or fiberglass.
PS...the prestigeautoaccessories.com website has nothing whatsoever even though I have seen many advertisements for their products. AND, I did find one for bid on ebay, but I would still prefer to buy one from a reputable website. Any info is appreciated. |

My first thought was Muz also, but the product seems to have been pulled from his website.
Also I believe there is a slight difference in design between the snorkles for the later model S2000s compared to earlier ones. Other options include: - cut a hole in the side of the existing airbox and run a flexible plastic pipe to the hole in the fender. - AUT cooling plate (this has a sort of built in snorkel) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUT-D...spagenameZWDVW |

I haven't really seen any, but then I wasn't looking. If I see one, I will try to remember this thread and post it.
I agree with you thought though, $500 for something that way change the sound and will not add any significant HP gains, seems like a waste to me. But hey, if someone wants one, go for it. It's a nice bragging point.
