individual throttle bodies
Has anyone installed invividual throttlebodies(itb's) on there s2000. I was reserching and they said you neen a new ems for it to work properly. I was wondering if i could retune it using my afc neo. It doesnt make sense to spend 1500 on itb's and then 2500 on an ems. I understand fuel needs to be altered but not spark, hell i dont really know but it seems that the f22c is already optomised from the factory spark wise.
ps With a mild tune my afc neo picked me up 11 foot pound and 7 horse power and almost 20 hp at 5500 rpm best mod ive made very recomended. |

See medicalstudent on S2KCA. If you are taking about itb's Check Hayward performance or kingmotorsports. Both will tell you you need an AEM EMS or equivalent. And new cams would be a good idea too. You will get about 45 hp but, you can't change the volumetric efficiency and use the oem computer. And I don't know where you going to find itb's for $1500.00 more like $3-4 thousand.

Here's a thread on Honda-tech regarding Itb's on an s2000:
http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1469815 It's pretty loud, but if there was any doubt our cars shared the same dna as a street bike, listen to the vid: http://videos.streetfire.net/Player....term=s2000&p=3 I'd worry about crap in the engine, no filters on any of them. |
