who makes the better exhaust and header . and what is the tr1 exaust like

go for the most expensive one theyre usually the best. The tr1 has metal pipes it also has a muffler on it the job of the muffler is to muffle the sound.

For headers, consider either the Mugen (the gold standard of S2000 headers) or the Rick's imitation. Either is lighter than the stock header and (from personal experience) the Mugen header gives much better mid-range acceleration. For exhaust systems, Mugen, Comptech or Invidia seem to be the big three. YMMV.
