Exclamation HElP ASAP

i have an 2001 s2k with about 50000 miles on it. i was driving it home and all of the sudden when i gave it gas while it was in gear the rpms kept going up but the car was not moving. i pulled off a side road and pushed the clutch in and put it in first. i let the clutch out to start going and the rpms just kept going up like it was stuck in nuteral or somting. i was wondering if anyone knows what is wrong? need help ASAP

Aaaay Bambam, sorry to hear, but I've godda go with Hell, 'boudditt involvin' the clutch, but clutch-toasts usually have you knowin' tha'cher headin' for clutch-doom with slippage n' such.
There were no warnin' signs in your recent drives with the car?

Were you able to get the car home on it's own power?

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Before you consider a stock clutch, price out a performance with a light flywheel. You might be able to get the better parts for around the same price or better. Honda dealership quoted me $1900 for stock parts + labor. A friend of mine got ACT performance clutch and light weight flywheel for $1000 and charged $600 for labor, saving me $300.
