1. put key in 2. hold down the trip button 3. turn key to ON position 4. continue to hold the trip button until maintenance light disappears According to posts lower down, you have to hold the trip down for some time. Like 15-30 seconds. |

Yeah, last time I had the oil change, the jerk forgot to reset it. Wait, now that I think about it, I changed my oil. That jerk.

lol....don't you just hate it when that happens.
I checked it just after I bought it and it was at 30%...but when I looked at the oil (checking dipstick) it still looked golden & clear. So either this is the cleanest running engine I've ever seen....or they just forgot to reset it. & you should really talk to that guy who changes your oil |

Not hijacking your thread, but, what if you change your oil, and the light was not on. Should you do this reset anyway? How many miles, time, .... is the light set for?

CAIE - yep...its the maint light...on my 06 it comes up and displays current oil life as well. & not a dunb question.
JWH - you should reset it every time you change oil. I also use the 2nd trip meter to keep track of mileage between changes. |
