Check Gas Cap (again)

I'm looking at an '07 w/5k mi.
During the test drive noticed the check gas cap light flashing.
Owner was puzzled, never had seen that before. While reading the book, it said that it could be related to the emission crap. Should I be concerned ? I've read the other post on this but would like some more info before plunking down the cash. Thanks for any help.
What a great car !!!!

I wouldn't be concerned about that at all. It is HIGHLY unlikely that there really is anything wrong. Tighten the cap and as the other post explained, the light will eventually go off.

I have never seen a 'gas cap' light before. The '07's have a light just for the gas cap?

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

There's actually 2 fuel cap warnings. If the cap is loose or missing, "CHECK FUEL CAP" will appear on the info display when you start the engine. You can then tighten the cap and reset the message. If it still detects a loose or missing cap, the malfunction indicator light comes on. That's the one that takes a while to go out.

Hee hee they got tired of us going to the dealer for check engine lights (I think because of the flaw in the old cap/filler) and put in a light just for that. As a member of the "I went to the dealer for that" club, I had to laugh, but I also found the new cap much more reliable (uh, and idiot proof)...

"GAS CAP" light came on while I was driving(07/4600 mi) for no reason but as many of you suggested it took around 4 days for it to go away and did not come back on since. Good Luck.

Hey Budz, before you buy make sure the light is off and the problem has gone with warrenty. It is the sellers obligation to eradicate any problems, if not take it to a local Honda dealer and backcharge the cost for repair as agreed.
