Neil, keep this on the QT, 'cause it embarrasses alodda us whut feels like we're kind'a "elite" . . but it's'a Honda. Honest.
Outside'a their track stuff (n' despite all the razzle-dazzle, li'l Stewie'z a street car) they don't build nothin' whut ain't meant ta live a long, long life.
With proper maintenance.

The main reason for asking is that growing up in Wales my friend had a Lotus Escort and it to was highly strung, every so often the engine would lose its peak for performance until it was tuned again, just wondering if the s2000 engine requires additonal tuning over not so high reving engines.

depends on how hard u run it and what kinds of mods u have on it, but honda says u have to adjust ur valves around 110k, thats about it, then just change ur fluids every 15k and oil at 3k

Yea, i agree if you just keep reg maintance man you should have no problem. Which amounts to keep clean oil and wet water in her and you'll be good for a few 100k. np.

Bear in mind the Lotus is a Brit car. I've had a few. Honda designs cars that last a while. Had a few of those too.

I see it lasting quite a long time if you do not abuse it. Mine won't last as long as most probably, but it's been self inflicted.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Congrats, I knew you'd get to 100k soon. Where on I-295 were you?
