Check Engine Light after oil change?

I have an '03 S2K with 33k miles and jst chages the oil in it for the first time. I filled the filter with AMSoil 10W-30, installed it, and put the rest of the 5 quarts in the oil fill. I started the engine, and the Check Engine Light came on and didn't go away. I checked the gas cap, and it seemed to be on tight. I disconnected the battery for about 30 sec., and the CEL just won't go away. Has this happned to anyone else? How did you fix it?

I went to Advance Auto Parts this morning, they hooked the reader up to it and it said that the MAS was setting off the CEL. So I opened the air box, checked the connectors, hoses etc. Put it all back in, fired it up and drove off. The CEL went out after driving about 1/4 mile down the street!

Thanks for the help!!

How did your MAS get disconnected during an oil change?

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

I don't know exactly what it was that fixed it.

This was the first time I 've changed the oil on this car, and the jackass who did it before put the filter on so damn tight that I had to use a big set of channel locks to get it off. ( I couldn't find an oil filter wrench) I took the lid off the airbox and adjusted the whole thing so I could get the wrench in there, and I didn't get it all back together just right the first time.

Also the drain plug was torqued down so damn tight that I had to use an 18" breaker bar just to get it loose. Bullshit like that is why I don't trust anyone to do routine maintenance on any of my vehicles.
