21/2 exhaust question
my exhaust is a 2 1/2 inch pipe mandrel, cut and weld looks just like a t1r single (with test pipe). Now of coarse I don't have a t1r muffler so I used a apexi n1 muffler at the back and an 18" long 3" glasspak in the middle in an attempt to quite it down. Now the type of glasspak used is a louvered style not baffled and that is why it's a 3" and not 2 1/2". However I think that louvered style might still be causing enough turbulance to cost hp. What do you guys think?

AS long as the inside diameter is not smaller than the rest of the pipe and theres nothing hanging down in the flow it wouldnt cost power. I think Magnaflow use a similar type design with perforated straight pipe through their oval muffler with packing around it to kill the noise and they do well.
