mod question
Ok, i have a question.I want to put a Comptech SC and a mugen cold air intake on my s2k, will i have to do anything else to the engine or the exhaust ? I'm not trying to turn it into a racer or a drift i just want a lil more hp. I thought about a turbo or two but didnt want to have to get the turbo timer and everything else associated with turbo; ie the maintenance and risk or overheating the turbos, cracking them etc. w/o a timer or anything else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why would you get both?
No, you do not have to change anything else when you get a CT SC. They are designed to be a bolt on and go system.

I do not think it will fit. The intake is designed to meet up with the OEM air inlet and the SC will be more to the passenger side. You could modify it if you wanted to. I have thought about adding a AEM CAI tube to my SC and actually have one in the shed, but I have never gotten around to trying it. I believe there will be some cutting and welding involved to the tube to match it up.

Its not that he doesnt think you should its that those two items dont bolt together. I am not gonna get into the twin turbo thing but you should do a little research.

ok yea, I see what your sayin.I have seen quite a few ppl with a SC and CAI, I really would like to put both on since heat is a major factor and where I live there is some stop and go traffic hence the reason behind the CAI for the SC.If anyone can suggest maybe another manufacturer beside mugen for the CAI that would fit (if any) on the CT SC it would be alot of help.

I have a picture of my mugen airbox but I don't see an easy way to display it.

If i was you i wouldnt waste the money on a pricey CAI for a SC just get a cheap pipe or whatever from ebay. Cut and paste where needed (fab to fit). Then get it painted or powder coated and be done and still cost less than a AEM. I maybe mistaken but the CT SC comes with a CAI alrealy.Doesn't it suck cold air form the fender and also doesnt the VT SC do the same?
