2001 Engine Replacement
I have a 2001 S2000 with a blown engine. Do any other engines fit into the S2000 that are more economical. I know this may sound sacreligious to most. I just want to get the car running as cheap as possible. I know most other Honda engines are way cheaper. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To my knowledge, the s2000 is the only vehicle from honda with an engine that is vertical in the engine bay and not horizontal. vertical meaning that the cylinders line up from the front to the back and horizontal is from left to right. Im thinking its not possible.

Aaay RBB, owyadoon?
There'z been an awful lodda talk, day-dreamin' n' blue-skyin' about diff'rent mills ta put under li'l Stewie'z hood. But to the best'a my recollection, when all wuz said n' done, the only one that came of all that talk was the infamous Supra/Stewie. Mother Honda has an impressive fleet of vehicles, but outside'a Stewie, I believe that they're all front-wheel drive. Front wheel drive lends itself to horizontally situated engines with transaxles. Rear wheel drive usually uses longitudinally situated engine/trans. If you're lookin' for somethin' other than a Stewie engine to replace your paperweight with, I think you're gonna godda look to another brand. But, when you can jus' lift the paperweight out, drop in a direct replacement Stewie engine, bolt 'er up n' drive off . . . it might jus' be easier ta find a Stewie engine ta solve your problem. Be well, good luck n' keep us posted, Java
