mant req lite

i have a mant req light flashing 10 times when i start up my car, i took it to autozone to see if they could run the code, but their reader came up with no codes, that being said, is there someplace that i can take my car, other then the dealer to find out what might be wrong, nothing seems to be affected, performance, handling, but i can smell melting plastic, but i can not find any anywhere....any and all ideas will be helpful...
thanks

regards
pack

No worries. It's just an oil change reminder. Reset it!

No problem! Search S2Ki on how to reset it. I forgot.

6 Pack, I'm not sure if the procedure is the same for all years but for mine ('06) you turn the ignition on (no need to start) then push the trip meter to get to the oil life indicator, then hold the button for 10 seconds and the indicator will blink. Then push the button again for 5 seconds and it will reset to 100%.

it's in the manual too, just in case it is different between years (don't know why it would be though).

is there a way to see how many miles you have before you need to change your oil in an ap1? haven't had mine that long and am coming up on my first change.

My light has been on for over 30k miles now. I drive so many miles per year that it was always coming on, so I just ignore it now.
