Fluid Capacities?

Hey Dudes does anyone know how much fluid the stock transmission holds in a AP1. Also what about the rear differential?

Royal Purple is a good product. Expensive, but good.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

I have it in there now with about 4000 miles of use some track time and hard driving. Veneza31 said that I should change them after track time and I figured that it wouldn't hurt or with the miles is it a waste of money?

My opinion is that you are paying for color.
I am running Honda MTF in the tranny and Valvolene 75X140 synthetic in my 356 diff. I am pleased with the setup.

AP2 holds about 2.7 quarts. It should be very close to AP1.

Transmission is only 1.6 quarts for the AP1. I can't believe there would be that much difference between the two models.

Diff is less than a quart.

Yes, you should be fine. That's what I usually go with.

From what I've read the only recommendations are Honda MTF or a GM variant , don't remember the name. In the diff Honda or Mobil 1 70-90, my choice. Haven't seen any research on Royal Purple.

Pep Boys had RP on sale for $7 this weekend.

That GM product is the GM Syncromesh. I've heard good things about that too.

FWIW, I also add a small quantity of Hyphoid better known as Friction Modifier to the diff. I am running a 356 and it's a little whiney and the additive helps.
I get mine at the Ford dealership.

Be careful and don't over medicate. She might get too agreeable and sweet.
